Advanced Digital Technology for Your Comfort
We are committed to providing excellent Clinton dental care to all of our patients. In order to do that, we believe you have to work with the best people, the latest techniques, and state-of-the-art equipment.
Digital X-rays
Our digital X-rays use some of the lowest radiation technology available on the market. We also use a handheld scanner that’s quicker than conventional X-ray machines and digital sensors that instantly transmit images to our computer screens. With no chemical processing, no sharp pieces of X-ray film, and about 90% less radiation than conventional X-rays, digital X-rays are a smart choice for your smile and the environment.
We use digital X-rays during your dental exams because many of the problems that affect your teeth and surrounding tissues cannot be seen by the naked eye. A digital X-ray is needed to reveal:
- abscesses or cysts
- decay below existing restorations
- deep cavities
- developmental abnormalities
- gum disease
- infections in the jaw bones
- small areas of decay between teeth or below existing restorations
- some types of tumors
We look forward to treating you at Clinton Family Dental!
Panoramic Digital X-rays
A panoramic digital X-ray allows us to take images of your upper and lower jaw, and shows a 3-dimensional view of your face from ear to ear. The advantages of digital panoramic X-rays are:
- fewer repeated scans
- reduced costs
- lower radiation exposure
- instantly viewable images
- no lost X-rays

Intraoral Camera
An intraoral camera allows us to show you digital images of your teeth and gums. We know that in dental visits of the past, you were unable to be an active participant in your exam. The dentist would tell you that you had a cavity or some other dental issue, but you were unable to see what he or she was talking about. With an intraoral camera, you get to see exactly what we see while we examine your mouth. We will go through all the images with you, explaining any areas of concern, and make sure you really understand your oral health.
We look forward to meeting you!
Spore Testing
Whether you’re having a routine cleaning or more serious dental procedure, infection control is important. We strictly follow the procedures established by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention because they effectively prevent transmission of infections in the dental office. Every week, your Clinton dentists complete a third-party spore test of all sterilization equipment to ensure our dental tools are functioning properly and are clean and sanitized.
Your safety is important to us, so we take every precaution to protect you and your family.
